Genie (The Expanded Edition): Blue Vinyl 2LP

BB and Q Band, the Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens Band, came from the disco-minded partnership of Jacques Fred Petrus and Mauro Malavasi. After shaping projects including Change with Davide Romani, Paolo Gianolio, Luther Vandross and Jocelyn Brown, they issued four BB and Q Band albums between 1981 and 1986.

Genie, released in 1986, was co-produced by Petrus and written and produced by Kae Williams II of Breakwater. It features lead vocals from Curtis Hairston, plus Ullanda McCullough, Mike Campbell and Timmy Allen. Highlights include Genie, Minutes Away, (I'm A) Dreamer, Main Attraction, On The Shelf and Riccochet.

Reissued for the first time for its 40th anniversary, this expanded 2LP includes the full album and bonus cuts: new remixes by Michael Gray and Dr Packer, Shep Pettibone's original US 12" of Dreamer, Ben Liebrand's Dutch The Finest Remix of Main Attraction, and Dancin' Danny D's UK mix of Riccochet.
