Café: Vinyl LP

A dive into the Fania archives unearthed Café, a Latin funk and soul gem on its 50th anniversary.  Legendary conguero Ray Barretto produced the one Café self-titled album, released on Vaya Records. The opener “Sí Dame Tu Amor” ripples with funk grooves—sounding like something Barretto would have released himself—while “Identify Yourself” is an absolute jam. Featuring (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, this reissue is pressed on 180-gram vinyl.
