So many cultures in this country are being\nviewed as un-American and it breaks my heart\". This is the first album I’ve had properly\nproduced,” says Ramirez, who either produced or co-produced all of his previous efforts.\nFor We’re Not Going Anywhere, he hired Sam Kassirer, who has helmed albums by Josh\nRitter, Lake Street Dive, Bhiman, and many other artists. “I needed to evolve and change things up a bit, which is why I\nchose Sam. He pushed me in a way I hadn’t been pushed before.” Kassirer challenged\nRamirez to simultaneously simplify and complicate his songwriting, to find new ways to tell\nhis stories and make a band record. In January 2017 Ramirez and his band decamped to the\nGreat North Sound Society, an eighteenth-century farmhouse in rural Maine that serves as\nKassirer’s studio. Especially in the winter, when the trees are bare and snow blankets the\nground, the setting proved inspiring. “It’s very secluded, which was part of the appeal. We\nwere able to get out of our touring headspace and stay completely involved with the\nrecord and what we were doing.”\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Recordstore","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49981470802162,"sku":"SW40101","price":5.4,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0850\/1621\/5794\/files\/SharedImage-73566.jpg?v=1787673184","url":"https:\/\/recordstero.shop\/products\/were-not-going-anywhere-vinyl-lp","provider":"recordstero","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
